GENERAL SUMMARY

The role of the IT Asset Administrator is to support the management of IT assets at all stages of the asset lifecycle. You will work closely with the IT Asset Manager to deliver effective asset management procedures, tools, and training. You will also work, as needed, with stakeholders inside and outside the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Maintain documentation to support IT asset management activities. Follow all policies and procedures for tracking IT equipment and software.
  • Support request fulfillment, purchasing, receiving, and deployment of hardware and software.
  • Maintain asset records within our IT asset management database.
  • Analyze stock items and identify required stock levels to support business needs.
  • Assess compliance with established IT asset policies and procedures.
  • Track software licenses, warranties, maintenance agreements, and vendor contracts, in line with established policies and procedures.
  • Conduct periodic audits to evaluate IT asset data accuracy. Investigate and recommend corrective measures to resolve data accuracy issues. 
  • Generate reports on cost, spending, licensing, warranty, and maintenance/support contracts to support purchasing decisions.
  • Provide training on asset management procedures and tools. 
  • Investigate opportunities to allocate IT assets more efficiently.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of IT asset management activities and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop purchasing recommendations that support business goals, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education:    BS Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience required. 
  • Experience:  
    • Minimum three years of work experience in IT service support, asset management, contract management, or purchasing and procurement capacity
    • Working knowledge of software licensing agreements for the following vendors: Microsoft, Adobe
    • Experience using and configuring IT asset management software and/or inventory-tracking systems, or other analytical tools for asset tracking and inventory control
    • Experience and knowledge of the financial/banking industry and regulatory requirements (FFIEC) preferred.  
    • Experience with PC, Microsoft office suite, business applications, vendor applications, and vendor management. 
  • Skills/Ability: 
    • A drive to learn about and apply new technologies to solve problems
    • Ability to reprioritize and execute work in response to changing business requirements
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport building, listening, and negotiating
    • Ability to diagnose and investigate service-related issues effectively
    • Superior attention to detail
    • Strong customer service skills

Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
