At Larson Capital Management LLC we are seeking an experienced Asset Management Analyst to support the asset management team in maximizing the financial performance and value of a portfolio of commercial properties.


The Asset Management Analyst is responsible for financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, market research, lease analysis, and portfolio performance monitoring. This role works closely with Asset Managers, Property Managers, Leasing Teams, and Acquisitions professionals to support strategic decision-making and enhance investment returns.


Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual property financial statements.
  • Prepare variance analysis comparing actual performance to budgets and forecasts.
  • Maintain asset-level financial models, cash flow projections, and valuation analyses.
  • Track key performance metrics including Net Operating Income (NOI), occupancy, lease rollover, and tenant retention.
  • Assist in preparing asset management reports for senior management, lenders, and investors.

Asset Performance Monitoring

  • Monitor operational and financial performance across assigned commercial assets.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting asset value.
  • Support the execution of asset business plans and strategic initiatives.
  • Assist with annual budget preparation and forecasting processes.
  • Review operating expenses and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies.

Leasing & Tenant Analysis

  • Analyze lease agreements, rent rolls, and tenant financial performance.
  • Monitor lease expirations, renewal activity, and vacancy exposure.
  • Evaluate leasing proposals and financial impacts of lease transactions.
  • Support lease restructuring, renewals, and tenant retention strategies.
  • Prepare lease comparison and scenario analyses.

Valuation & Investment Analysis

  • Build and maintain discounted cash flow (DCF) models.
  • Conduct property valuations using direct capitalization and DCF methodologies.
  • Analyze refinancing, disposition, and recapitalization opportunities.
  • Assist with investment committee presentations and recommendations.
  • Support acquisition and disposition underwriting efforts when needed.

Market Research

  • Conduct market research on commercial real estate fundamentals, tenant demand, rental rates, and competing properties.
  • Monitor local economic conditions and commercial real estate market trends.
  • Analyze market comparable and leasing activity.
  • Prepare market intelligence reports to support strategic planning.

Capital Projects Support

  • Track capital improvement projects and monitor project budgets.
  • Assist in evaluating return on investment for capital expenditures.
  • Review construction draws and project financial performance.
  • Coordinate with property management and construction teams regarding project updates.
Requirements:
  • 5 - 8 years of experience in commercial real estate, asset management, acquisitions, investment analysis, valuation, lending, or property management.
  • Internship experience in commercial real estate is beneficial for entry-level candidates.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling.
  • Experience with Argus Enterprise preferred.
  • Knowledge of discounted cash flow analysis and real estate valuation methodologies.
  • Familiarity with commercial lease structures and commercial real estate property operations.
  • Experience with PowerPoint and financial reporting tools.
