Job description

Associate Relationship Manager (Internship)

NetLaw | Advisor Success Team | Remote | Reports to Director of Relationship Management

Summer 2026 10-12 Weeks Full-Time

The Company

NetLaw is a tech-enabled estate planning platform serving wealth management firms through an MSO structure. We power the estate planning services of Hargrove Firm, with attorneys across 50 states delivering estate plans for the $1-50M wealth segment. We've grown 210% in the past year, are backed by institutional capital, and count multiple top 10 wealth management firms among our partners.

The Team

You will join NetLaw's Advisor Success team - a function being built from the ground up to drive advisor engagement, activation, and long-term partnership success across our RIA network. The team works closely with Hargrove Firm attorneys, our engineering and product teams, firm-level leadership at partner RIAs, and the individual financial advisors who refer clients to our platform every day.

This is a small, high-ownership team in an early stage of its build. As an intern, you will have real impact and visibility from day one - your work will directly support the advisors and partners who drive our business.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated Associate Relationship Manager (Intern) who thrives on building relationships and is energized by outbound outreach. You will work directly under the Director of Relationship Management, serving as the first point of contact for financial advisors across our RIA partner network who have never registered with - or referred a client to - NetLaw.

Think of this as a business development role. Your primary job is to identify and engage advisors who are a natural fit for NetLaw, educate them on how estate planning integrates into their practice, and set up qualified demos with our Relationship Managers. You will be making calls, sending emails, and building pipeline - not sitting behind a spreadsheet. Over the summer, you will develop a genuine understanding of how financial advisors think about estate planning as a client retention and practice growth tool, and you will leave with hands-on experience in a high-growth wealthtech company.

What You'll Do

Outbound Advisor Outreach

  • Make high-volume outbound calls to financial advisors across our partner RIA network who have never registered with or referred a client to NetLaw
  • Open conversations by helping advisors understand how estate planning fits into their practice - as a client retention tool, a prospecting differentiator, and a service they can offer without adding operational complexity
  • Qualify advisor interest and set up demos with a Senior Relationship Manager or the Director of Relationship Management
  • Execute email outreach cadences to complement call efforts, following approved messaging frameworks
  • Research advisor backgrounds and firm affiliations ahead of calls to personalize the conversation and lead with relevance

Pipeline Management & CRM Hygiene

  • Log every outreach touchpoint, conversation outcome, and follow-up commitment in HubSpot with accuracy and consistency
  • Maintain clean, current records for advisor contacts - engagement status, objections, next steps, and handoff notes for the Relationship Management team
  • Track demo pipeline from first contact through confirmed scheduling, and flag advisors who go dark after initial interest
  • Support data hygiene initiatives - deduplication, missing field completion, and advisor segmentation tagging

Advisor Onboarding Support

  • Follow up with newly registered advisors who have not completed onboarding milestones, using approved messaging templates
  • Help coordinate scheduling for advisor orientation calls, platform walkthroughs, and attorney-advisor introductions
  • Track onboarding milestone completion across cohorts and flag advisors who are not progressing toward a first referral

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Prepare call lists, organize outreach queues, and help the team stay on top of follow-up commitments
  • Take notes and document action items from internal team calls and partner check-ins
  • Support the preparation of advisor-facing materials, communication templates, and reference guides
  • Assist with special projects as they arise - recognition program logistics, webinar coordination, and content support

Who You Are

  • A people person - you genuinely enjoy talking to people, you pick up the phone without hesitation, and you can hold a confident, credible conversation with a financial professional
  • Organized and disciplined - you manage a high-volume outreach workload without letting follow-ups fall through the cracks, and you keep your CRM records tight
  • Curious about how financial advisors run their practices - you understand, or are eager to learn, why estate planning matters to an advisor's client relationships and business development efforts
  • Proactive and coachable - you take direction well, flag problems early, and don't wait to be asked twice
  • Rising senior or recent graduate in Business, Finance, Communications, or a related field
  • Prior internship or work experience at a financial advisory firm, RIA, broker-dealer, or financial services company is strongly preferred - you should be comfortable talking with advisors, not intimidated by the audience
  • Familiarity with the CFP curriculum or demonstrated interest in financial planning is a plus
  • Experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM is a plus; comfort making and logging outbound calls is expected

What We Offer

  • Paid internship with competitive compensation
  • Direct mentorship from the Director of Relationship Management with visibility to senior leadership
  • Hands-on exposure to enterprise RIA relationships and wealth management partnerships
  • Real deliverables and real impact - the demos you set will directly drive advisor activation and revenue
  • A front-row seat to building a category-defining function at a high-growth, PE-backed company
  • Potential to grow into a full-time role for the right candidate
