We're Hiring:
Associate Relationship Manager
Balentine is seeking an Associate Relationship Manager (ARM) who will work closely with our Relationship Management team. In this role, the ARM will support and collaborate with the firm's Relationship Managers to provide a first-class experience to existing and prospective clients. The ARM will have direct client responsibility and must be able to maintain and cultivate strong networks with various functional teams within the firm, and in the existing and prospective client spheres of influence.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in the field of investment management and is a self-starter with both a proactive mentality and a growth mindset. The candidate should be highly professional and should possess excellent communication skills. We are an entrepreneurial organization with a successful track record of delivering consistent long-term investment returns achieved by demanding expectations, and we are looking for a candidate who would be enthusiastic to work in this environment.
There is an opportunity to thrive either within the ARM role or on a defined trajectory to becoming a Relationship Manager.
Responsibilities
The ultimate goal of this position is for the Associate Relationship Manager to assume comprehensive management of the day-to-day needs of the firm's clients, thereby permitting the Relationship Managers to focus on client acquisition and retention.
The success of the role is demonstrated by the ability to complete the following:
Client and Prospect Meetings
  • Lead and manage the preparation for all client meetings.
  • Attend client meetings, prepare meeting summaries, and oversee follow-up correspondence and next steps for clients.
  • Initiate pre-meeting huddles for client and prospect meetings, including collaboration with members of other teams within the firm to deliver tailored client-facing reports and presentations.
  • Collaborate with the Administrative Associate, Reporting Team, and IST Portfolio Analyst to review and verify client performance reports.

Financial Planning
  • Perform and supervise data entry for eMoney financial plans, balance sheets, and other client forms for prospects and clients.
  • Review Holistiplan reports and communicate recommendations to clients.
  • Create and review Implementation Plans to ensure the strategy and model align with client goals.
  • Assist in developing estate plan recommendations.
  • Utilize Riskalyze with clients and prospects to understand clients' risk comfort.

Day-to-Day and Account Oversight
  • Serve as the liaison between the Relationship Manager(s), Relationship Associate(s), and Administrative Associate(s) in connection with the daily management of clients.
  • Monitor portfolios to review and recommend asset allocation to maintain strategies based on client goals.
  • Provide proactive tax-related support, working closely with clients' CPAs to ensure timely and accurate tax data sharing.
  • Serve as investment team liaison. Provide suggestions for clients to participate in Private Capital.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in investment management or portfolio construction
    • 3+ years of client-facing experience
  • Willingness to achieve CFP or other industry certification
  • Ability to interpret financial data, monitor portfolios, and recommend investment strategies aligned with client goals
  • Technologically savvy and proficient
    • Superior Excel skills
    • Proficiency with eMoney, Addepar, RedBlack, Box, Salesforce, and NetX360 strongly preferred; experience with similar program types required
