Day-to-Day Operations
- Oversee daily assembly line operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and deadlines are met
- Monitor workflow, equipment performance, and material availability to minimize downtime
- Coordinate with supply chain and maintenance teams to resolve production issues quickly
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and continuous improvement practices (e.g., Lean manufacturing)
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as output, efficiency, scrap rates, and on-time delivery
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized production floor
- Supervise, train, and mentor assembly line supervisors and production staff
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support employee development
- Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and shift assignments to meet production demands
- Promote a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and safety
- Address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and enforce company policies
- Lead onboarding and ongoing training programs for new and existing employees
- Lead daily production meetings to review targets, performance, and operational challenges
- Communicate production goals, schedule changes, and priorities to team leads and staff
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (quality, engineering, supply chain) to address issues and improve processes
