Job description

Job Title: Operations Coordinator (Manufacturing Facility)
Location: Melbourne, FL (On-Site – Facility)

Position Overview:
Shield Wall Systems of Florida is seeking an Operations Coordinator to support daily operations within our manufacturing facility. This role works directly with production, assembly, and logistics teams to ensure materials flow efficiently from arrival through fabrication, panelization, and final shipment.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both on the floor and with administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Material Handling & Inventory

  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (training and certification provided)
  • Assist with receiving incoming materials and coordinating deliveries
  • Update and maintain inventory logs and tracking systems
  • Organize and stage materials for production use

Production Support (Steel Fabrication)

  • Support the Production Manager with daily fabrication operations
  • Move and stage materials for fabrication processes
  • Assist with transitioning materials from production to assembly
  • Complete administrative tasks, including data entry, logs, and tracking

Assembly Support (Panelization)

  • Assist the Assembly Manager during panel production
  • Move materials and components throughout the assembly process
  • Help transition completed panels to shipping

Shipping & Logistics

  • Bundle and prepare materials for shipment based on project requirements
  • Assist with loading materials for delivery with proper sequencing for job site offloading
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely shipments

Transportation (As Needed)

  • Occasionally deliver materials to job sites (non-CDL)
  • Operate trucks and trailers safely
  • Ensure loads are secured and transported properly

Facility & Equipment Maintenance

  • Support general facility upkeep to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Perform routine checks on equipment and tools to ensure proper working condition
  • Assist with basic maintenance and coordinate repairs when needed
  • Help enforce safety standards and operational best practices across the facility

Qualifications:

  • Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, construction, or similar environment preferred
  • Comfortable with physical work and moving materials throughout the day
  • Basic administrative and data entry skills
  • Experience operating trucks and trailers is a plus
  • Basic mechanical aptitude or experience with equipment maintenance is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license required
