Grade/Level: Level I , II, and III
Department: Production
Location: Clearwater, FL 33762
Pay Rate: $16 and up depending upon experience
Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
JOB SUMMARY:
Assembler level I, II, and III employees perform duties in the assembly of electronic and mechanical systems according to print and/or process guidelines in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Employees are expected to have multiple capabilities and skills and be familiar with FMO production processes. Employees are responsible for keeping management informed of technical issues related to the department. Monitors quality of products and instructs staff in proper process implementation and assists with processes and assembly as needed. Also, familiar with all equipment and systems in the production areas and have expertise in majority of all processes or mastery level experience in at least one section of the assembly areas. Maintain a good understanding of many machines and tools used for production.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES (ALL LEVELS):
  1. Performs all tasks assigned that will meet FMO’s quality, schedule, and cost requirements.
  1. Interprets and follow the processes for assembly of all FMO products.
  1. Performs various soldering and/or adhesives requirements as instructed and utilizes assembly fixtures and tools.
  1. Assembles products utilizing process instructions and/or verbal instructions when necessary.
  1. Monitors quality of products and attempts to acquire a high level of knowledge of FMO’s products.
  1. Provides input for method improvements to enhance production efficiency and promote product quality.
  1. Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
  1. Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Assembler Level I - The assembler level 1 will be required to understand the fundamental knowledge and skills that will be used for a level 1 assembler. The individual should show proficiency and confidence in their ability to perform either basic HE assembly or basic MGH assembly tasks.
Assembler Level II - An individual will receive the title of level 2 assembler upon completion of the required skills from level 1 and being deemed capable of learning and performing the added skills below by production trainers and management. The assembler must achieve a cumulative point value of 30 before being considered for the position of level 2 assembler.
Assembler Level III - An individual will receive the title of level 3 assembler upon completion of the required skills from all previous levels with minimal assistance and being deemed capable of learning and performing the added skills below by production trainers and management. The assembler must achieve a cumulative point value of 40 including at least on training topic for level 3 before being considered for the position of level 3 assembler.
