The Impact You Will Make

We’re seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant with expertise in US GAAP, especially ASC 606 revenue recognition, to join our growing accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex accounting challenges, and wants to play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. This position offers significant visibility across the organization and the opportunity to influence accounting policies and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze contracts to determine appropriate revenue treatment under ASC 606
  • Manage project accounting revenue recognition models to insure correct revenue recognition
  • Manage the Company’s deferred revenue and accrued revenue schedules based on current project activity
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations in a complete, accurate, and timely manner
  • Perform additional monthly accounting tasks beyond revenue, as needed
  • Assist with annual audit and provide supporting documentation
  • Coordinate with multiple business partners including sales, project managers, and plant finance
  • Assist with revenue forecasting including analysis and explanation of variances to actual
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects, system enhancements, and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, CPA or CPA eligibility preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting, including experience with revenue models
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and specifically ASC 606
  • Experience working with internal and external auditors
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics specifically is a plus)
  • Advanced skills in Excel, including the ability to work with complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
  • Attention to detail and highly organized
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
