Job description

Manager, Revenue Accounting

Location: Remote (Pacific or Mountain Time)

We are seeking a Manager, Revenue Accounting to oversee revenue recognition and reporting in compliance with ASC 606. This role partners closely with Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, Operations, and Finance to manage the full revenue lifecycle. The position is currently an individual contributor role with a path to people management as the organization grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review complex customer contracts and determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606
  • Partner with Sales, Deal Desk, and cross-functional teams on contract structuring and revenue guidance
  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end revenue close activities
  • Support financial reporting, audits, technical accounting, and ASC 606 disclosures
  • Research and document accounting conclusions for complex revenue arrangements
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and SOP development
  • Analyze revenue performance and support ad hoc finance projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting; Big 4 or public accounting experience preferred
  • 6โ€“8 years of revenue accounting experience, preferably in a high-growth SaaS environment
  • Deep knowledge of ASC 606 and contract review
  • Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, RevPro, or similar ERP/CRM and revenue automation tools
  • Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
