About the Role
The Territory Sales Engineer drives the profitable growth of Makino’s advanced machine tool products within the assigned region. This role combines technical expertise with strong relationship-building and business development skills to deliver value to customers and expand Makino’s market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying and securing new business opportunities.

  • Understand customer manufacturing challenges and propose tailored solutions using Makino’s technologies.

  • Manage the full sales cycle — from prospecting and presentations to closing and follow-up.

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless installation and customer satisfaction.

  • Represent Makino at regional and national trade shows.

Qualifications

  • Proven success in technical or capital equipment sales, ideally within the machine tool industry.

  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to discuss complex manufacturing solutions confidently.

  • Self-motivated with excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce and SAP experience preferred.
