KAAST Machine Tools is one of North America's fastest-growing manufacturers and distributors of machine tools and fabrication equipment. With headquarters near Philadelphia, a growing Chicago operation, and continued expansion nationwide, we provide manufacturers with a comprehensive lineup of CNC and conventional machine tools, fabrication equipment, and industrial solutions.
We are seeking a motivated, technically minded Inside Sales Engineer to join our Chicago team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with customers, solving manufacturing challenges, and building long-term relationships while representing a broad portfolio of industrial machinery.
Position Overview
As an Inside Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for managing inbound sales inquiries, developing customer relationships, identifying equipment solutions, and guiding prospects through the sales process. You'll work closely with customers across a wide range of industries, helping them select the right machinery for their applications while contributing directly to KAAST's continued growth.
Responsibilities
  • Manage Leads & Pipeline: Qualify and follow up on inbound and warm leads, maintain a strong sales pipeline, and track all activity in our CRM.
  • Customer Engagement: Analyze customer applications, recommend the ideal KAAST machinery, and deliver compelling presentations with accurate quotes.
  • Build Relationships: Establish trust and maintain strong connections with new and existing customers.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of KAASTโ€™s extensive product line and stay current on industry trends and competitor offerings.
  • Drive Results: Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets while collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful order fulfillment.
  • Trade Shows: Attend 2-3 industry events per year.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in inside sales or account management; capital equipment or machine tool experience is highly preferred. Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems, quick to learn new technologies, and highly organized.
  • Attributes: Results-driven, detail-oriented, and able to build rapport with customers; team player who can also work independently.
