Saint Paul College seeks energetic and dedicated individuals to apply for temporary, part-time Machine Tool Technology/Machinist Instructor position. Instructor is responsible for:

  • Provide classroom instruction, evaluate and advise students.

  • Develop and/or revise curriculum.

  • Participate in department meetings, program advisory committee meetings, and collegewide events.

  • Maintain technical knowledge in the eld through active participation in professional development organizations and events.

  • Promote and recruit programs within and outside of the College.

  • Promote diversity and cultural competency.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Academic Dean or Vice President of Academic Affairs.

Salary Range:

Salary and benefits will be based on the collective bargaining agreement between Minnesota State College Faculty and the State of Minnesota.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two year diploma in machine tool technology/machinist.

  • Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in machine setup, programming, troubleshooting and operation of both manual and CNC equipment.

  • One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching in an urban college setting

  • Academic assessment experience

  • Ability to work with faculty and staff as a team member

  • Ability to work with diverse student population with broad range of interests and abilities.
