As an Apprentice Engineer, you will assist the maintenance team in ensuring that all hotel facilities, systems, and equipment are functioning optimally. You will gain hands-on experience in a variety of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs. This apprenticeship is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a career as a hotel maintenance engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in routine maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work.
  • Perform inspections of hotel facilities, identifying potential issues and reporting them to the Maintenance Engineer or Supervisor.
  • Support the maintenance team in responding to guest requests for repairs or maintenance in a timely and professional manner.
  • Learn to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and other equipment used within the hotel.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the hotel's exterior, including landscaping, lighting, and building integrity.
  • Help ensure that all tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean, organized, and in good working condition.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance your technical skills and knowledge of hotel maintenance operations.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.

Wage information
The hourly wage for this position is $18.25
