At NEPA Builders, Inc., you'll find steady, year-round work, a respectful team, and leaders who invest in your growth. We're an award-winning residential builder founded in 2012, with a steady pipeline of remodels, additions, and custom homes across Northeast Pennsylvania.

We believe in doing things the right way -- with structure, teamwork, and pride in craftsmanship. At NEPA Builders, you won't just learn a trade -- you'll build a career and a future you can be proud of.

Hourly pay range: $15.00-$20.00 per hour (based on skills and experience)

Full-time, W-2 position

Overtime paid per Pennsylvania law

Structured mentorship and hands-on training

Clear career advancement path with performance-based wage growth

Additional benefits discussed during the interview process

As a Carpenter Apprentice, you'll work side-by-side with experienced carpenters on residential construction projects, learning the fundamentals of the trade from framing through finish work. This is a hands-on role designed for individuals who want to learn, grow, and eventually advance into Lead Carpenter and higher-level roles within the company.

You'll be supported, coached, and challenged -- with clear expectations and opportunities to take on more responsibility as your skills develop.

Responsibilities

Assist with framing, exterior trim and siding, window and door installation, decking, interior trim, cabinetry, and finishes

Stage materials, organize tools, and help verify quantities to keep projects moving efficiently

Read basic plans and measurements; follow verbal and written instructions from Lead Carpenters and Project Managers

Maintain clean, safe, and professional job sites; practice daily safety habits

Use hand and power tools under supervision and care for company tools and equipment

Document work progress with photos or notes and communicate issues early

Uphold NEPA Builders' workmanship standards and professional client interactions

Qualifications

Basic math and measuring skills

0-2 years of construction or carpentry experience preferred (trade school or shop classes a plus)

Familiarity with hand and power tools preferred

Team-oriented, dependable, coachable, and eager to learn

Physically able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites across NEPA

Why Work With Us

You'll join a tight-knit, growing team that values craftsmanship, planning, and doing right by clients and teammates. We invest in people who show up, take ownership, and want to build a long-term career -- not just punch a clock.
