Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for assisting in LION pattern development and changes in patterns. Also responsible for providing accurate computerized patterns to ensure manufacturability, and for producing quality sewn and fitted garments. This position reports to the Director of PPE Design and Development located in Dayton OH. The position will be on-site at one of Lion's Kentucky facilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Executes production pattern requests and makes necessary changes to support directives from Product Management and Compliance to ensure correct production garments.
  • Create and grade patterns using Gerber Accumark Software from information provided by manufacturing, customer support or development.
  • Responsible for construction of new or replacement templates for manufacturing, when applicable.
  • Responsible for insuring that any pattern changes made are properly identified and trackable. Maintain revision history of pattern changes.
  • Participate in meetings that impact patterns or pattern making.
  • Assist in development of measurement specifications, when requested, for patterns that meet product managements or R&D departments specifications
  • Create markers to support Product Development sample request.
  • Support Kentucky manufacturing with improvements to sewing quality and efficiency through patterns.
  • performs special projects as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with pattern making and apparel manufacturing preferably with Gerber Accumark Pattern Software.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of the production process relates to pattern design.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Flexible team player with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects.
  • Great organizational skills.
