Job description

Since its founding in 1937, Krispy Kreme's focus has remained the same - making fresh doughnuts using our founder's original recipe. The brand's iconic Hot Light lets consumers know when doughnuts are being made in the shop so they can stop in and enjoy them hot, right off the line.  


Our Manager of Manufacturing leads all back-of-house and production operations in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. This role ensures that all doughnut production, food safety, sanitation, and inventory activities align with Krispy Kreme's quality standards, safety expectations, and guest experience goals. Oversees team scheduling, performance, and development while driving continuous improvement and ensuring efficiency, guest complaints, and consistent operations. We are looking for leaders with a commitment to teamwork, those who have a customer-focused mindset and of course......those that LOVE doughnuts. 


HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Provide hands-on leadership on the production floor by guiding, coaching, and troubleshooting daily operations, including mixing, frying, glazing, and packing.
  • Ensure product quality, production output, and operational efficiency by monitoring performance, minimizing waste, and responding to demand.
  • Proactively identify and resolve equipment or process issues to reduce downtime and optimize line efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with the Manager of Retail to ensure end-to-end operational success, providing mutual support for coverage during time off or vacations.
  • Ensure DFD is produced, boxed and staged daily within hours of the driver arriving.
  • Lead a team of doughnut makers, sanitation, doughnut decorators, quality assurance supervisors, shift supervisors, and other possible roles.
  • Provide consistent coaching, feedback, and performance management to build strong teams.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to maintain cleanliness, brand standards, sanitation, and food handling standards of all equipment, facilities, and employees.
  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics to ensure timely and accurate ordering, receiving and delivery of supplies.
  • Lead daily pre-shift meetings to align the team on safety, quality, production, labor management, shop cleanliness and financial goals.
  • Maintain clear documentation of production activities, performance management, equipment issues, and compliance records.


YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, food production, or high-volume retail environment
  • 2+ years of experience in a people leadership role
  • Must be at least 21 years of age. 
  • High school or GED 
  • Ability to work all necessary work schedules, including holidays/weekends. 
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Has a steadfast commitment to nurture an equitable, unbiased culture where our peeps are empowered to showcase their originality. 
  • Travel Requirements: 0-10% 
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. 


Starting pay rate for this position is $80,000 per year.
