Apartment assistant managers oversee the daily operations of a property or complex. This includes spending time with tenants, helping attract new residents, providing tours, and making sure the tenants uphold the terms of their lease agreement when you inspect units. You do maintenance on the property, typically under the direction of the senior manager. On the administrative side, you prepare budgets, help decide on insurance policies, collect rent payments, and run background checks. You also function as the acting manager of an apartment when the senior manager is not available.
