Pelican is seeking a highly analytical and forward-thinking Financial Business Intelligence Manager to lead the evolution of business intelligence within Finance. This is a unique opportunity to build the next generation of financial reporting, analytics, and decision-support tools while helping shape the future of data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis, you'll partner with Finance, Accounting, Sales, Operations, and IT to develop scalable reporting solutions, modernize analytics capabilities, and create a foundation for AI-driven forecasting and predictive insights.

  • Lead the development and implementation of business intelligence dashboards and reporting solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and other BI tools
  • Transform legacy Excel-based reporting into scalable, automated, and interactive analytics platforms
  • Build financial and operational reporting that provides actionable insights into revenue, profitability, productivity, and business performance
  • Develop analytical models across products, customers, channels, geographies, and business segments to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
  • Partner with FP&A, Accounting, and IT to design and maintain data architecture that creates a trusted, enterprise-wide source of truth
  • Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reporting packages that support executive decision-making and operational performance reviews
  • Build KPI dashboards that help leaders monitor business performance, operational efficiency, and growth initiatives
  • Establish and execute a long-term roadmap for business intelligence, advanced analytics, and predictive forecasting capabilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify reporting needs and prioritize analytics initiatives
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts related to reporting, analytics, data governance, and business processes
  • Support development and optimization of financial planning and reporting procedures
  • Evaluate business performance and provide data-driven recommendations to improve decision-making and achieve strategic objectives
  • Actively supports and complies with Pelican’s objectives, guidelines and commitment to Safety, Environment and Quality.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in Business Intelligence, FP&A, Finance, Accounting, or Corporate Finance
  • Strong expertise with SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms
  • Advanced SQL, data modeling, and reporting development experience
  • Strong financial acumen with knowledge of accounting principles and business performance metrics
  • Ability to translate complex business challenges into actionable analytics solutions
  • Experience working with large datasets, automation, dashboards, and financial modeling
  • Strong communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
