Job description

General Summary:

Allocation Analystsare responsible formanaging theoptimaldeployment of merchandise to the stores within their assigned Category(s). Major functions of the Allocation Analyst within the realm of inventorydeployment,are the splitting of merchandise between distribution centers, building effective allocation execution plans,optimalallocationand flow of the product to the stores, and providing in depth review of performance includinganalytics basedrecommendations for future improvements.

The primary goal of the Allocation Analyst is to achievean optimuminventory level within the distribution centers and stores through managing inventory turn disparity across volume groups for each of their category(s) seasonsin order tomaximize sales and profitability. Allocation Analysts work closely with business partners to resolve any store inventory issues. Incumbents in this positionare responsible forembracing Dollar Tree and Family Dollar's store-centric commitment to customer service, inventory productivity, and sales.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Each Allocation Analystis responsible forthe inventory deployment strategy and results for around 700 - 1,000 SKUs with sales totaling $110 - 150 million annually.

2. Responsible for splitting purchase ordersintheappropriate quantitiestoDC'sto maximize store service levels and departmentturn. Maintain balanced inventory levels in all Distribution Centers and Retail Locations

3. Responsible forallocatingand replenishing items weeklyin accordance withdepartment strategy and merchant vision whilemaintainingappropriate storeinventory levels.

4. Analyze sales history to support event quantities by location for all event/seasonal SKUs and ensure all SKUs attached to Events/Ads areallocatedand replenished ina timelymanner, andfacilitate periodic seasonal event strategy meetings with business partners to ensure effective execution of seasonal strategies.

5. Collaborate with Merchant, Assortment Planner, and Financial Planner to ensure allocations are aligned with department sales and turn goals

6. Communicate effectively with other departments within the organizationregardingbusiness trends in assigned category and attend and make value added contributions to weekly Category performance reviewmeetings .

7. Monitor seasonal inventory that is held in the DCs to ensure inventory is released out of the DCsin a timely manner.

8. Other job-related duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

Office work environment, 40+ work hours per week

MinimumRequirements:

Education: Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university orAssociates Degreewithadditionalexperience / training

preferred.

Experience: One to three years of retail store experience and/or merchandise allocation experience desirable.

Job Related Skills: Ability to prioritize and organize workload,possessstrongproblem solvingskills, capable of meeting stringent

deadlines, andpossesseffective communication skills.

Computer Skills: Must be proficient in the use of MicrosoftOfficeincluding Excel, Access, Power Point and Word. Ability to develop,

manipulate,formatand share spreadsheets for the purpose of analysis.

JDA Arthur Allocations, MMS and AS400 experience preferred.
