This position works closely with our Wrestling supervisor and our Programs Manager. In our wrestling program, we prioritize teaching and mentoring athletes in both physical strength and mental resilience. These athletes learn to compete against others by understanding how to use their strength, remain agile, and develop stamina and hyper-focus skills to perform movements in order to get the better of their opponents.
Qualified candidates must have:
  • Extensive knowledge in the sport of wrestling
  • Minimum of 2 years experience coaching with children ages 2 and older
  • Minimum of 4 years athletic experience (high school and college preferred)
  • Wrestling classes are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays from 4:15p-8:15p. Regular long-term availability of at minimum three days per week required. In addition to weekday availability, weekend availability is required during competitive wrestling season (October to April). While our scheduling can be flexible with proper notice, we are looking for candidates who can commit to a consistent schedule.
Coaching responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Follow the designated rotation schedule and curricula
  • Complete all administrative duties asked of you such as verifying attendance, completing safety checks, following lesson plans and updating progress reports of your students
  • Come to work ready to make a positive impact on your students and co-workers
  • Understand the importance of your Student Retention rate
  • Stay engaged in each class, always focusing on your students
  • Help set, maintain, and enforce standard attire policies for the program(s)

  • Patient and passionate about working with children in youth sports
  • Has an energetic & enthusiastic coaching style and approachable personality
  • Dedicated, committed, hardworking and willing to increase their knowledge about the program
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Salary Range: $20.02 to $28.15 per hour (depending on industry experience)
