Job description

SOCCER STARS is the country's largest and most popular soccer development program for children between the ages of 1-7! Come join us and be a part of a highly motivated soccer organization that builds a culture of VIBRANT, DYNAMIC, FUN & CREATIVE individuals through the vehicle of SPORTS! Our mission is to EDUCATE & INSPIRE the next generation of soccer players through our best-in-class curriculum.

As a Soccer Stars coach, you'll play a key role in positively impacting children within our community. Beyond introducing soccer skills, you'll nurture self-confidence, encourage growth, and create small moments that make a big impact - both on and off the field.

OUR HIRING PROCESS IS QUICK AND EASY!

  • First, we'll message you to schedule a 20-25 minute video interview
  • Next, we'll invite you out to the fields to see our classes, meet our coaches and participate in a class to see if this is something you would enjoy
  • Then, we'll conduct a final 20-25 minute video interview with our Owner
  • Lastly, if you are chosen, we'll complete your background check and you'll be ready to start within a few days!

Requirements

  • If you genuinely love being around children and feel confident in your ability to teach games and skills in a fun and quirky manner, then this could be the job for you!
  • Friendly, energetic, and outgoing personality.
  • Lead or assist classes in a structured environment for children 1-7+ years old.
  • Need to adapt to varying ages and abilities.
  • Previous knowledge or experience with soccer is not required. What is required is a comfort with working with young children.
  • Preference given to experience in a childcare or pre-school environment (Early Childhood Education (ECE) units a plus).

The Position:

  • Our Coaches use a non-competitive approach to ensure classes are fun with a stress-free environment
  • Our Coaches learn the curriculum to properly teach to each developmental stage
  • Our Coaches use positive reinforcement to encourage children to do better and celebrate success
  • And finally, our coaches have a blast. They are open-minded, and know that coaching is a continuous journey. All Coaches are open to feedback and strive to be better by attending regular trainings and following the Soccer Stars Coaching Manuals

The Schedule:

There are various shifts available and you will be staffed according to the availability you provide. The following general time frames are our current needs and can be discussed further during the interview process:

  • Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm (actual times of classes will vary)
  • Saturday and Sunday 8:30am - 12:30pm (actual time of classes will vary)

Note that this position is for a long-term commitment, not just an engagement over the summer. (College students are welcome to apply but must be based locally and commit to regular hours during the school year.)

Benefits

Why you should apply:

  • On-the-job training
  • Lively, fun, rewarding job filled with laughter and high-fives
  • Team-first work culture with a professional growth mindset
  • Coach referral program for every coach that you convert and retain
  • $16 per hour for training hours
  • $18-25 per hour coaching. Pay range is contingent on childcare experience and qualifications; range of 5 - 15 hrs. per week
  • The ability to work in the most popular sport in the world (soccer), riding the growth of the game in the U.S. on the coattails of Copa America, Olympics, Club World Cup, MLS, and World Cup 2026!
  • Flexible schedules
  • Opportunities for professional development
