Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Recruiter to join our growing People Operations team. This role is critical in identifying, attracting, and securing top talent for technical and corporate functions across Red Cat’s business units. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings deep expertise in sourcing hard-to-find candidates, partnering with hiring managers, and ensuring a world-class candidate experience.

This role will also require periodic travel to various business units across the United States, including the ability to spend 1–2 weeks on-site as needed to fully immerse in team operations, understand business needs, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and provide hands-on recruiting support.

Location: South Salt Lake City, UT (Corporate Office)


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own and execute full-cycle recruitment for roles including engineering, GNC, software, manufacturing, compliance, and operations.
  • Travel approximately 5-40% annually  to support recruiting initiatives across business units, including on-site hiring support, community engagement, and early career/education awareness
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand business needs, define job requirements, and build strategic hiring plans
  • Source passive and active candidates using a variety of channels including LinkedIn Recruiter, niche boards, Boolean search, and employee referrals.
  • Manage applicant flow through our ATS (e.g., Paycom, Greenhouse, Lever)  ensuring accurate data tracking and pipeline integrity.
  • Screen candidates, schedule interviews, and facilitate debriefs sessions with hiring teams.
  • Track and report key hiring metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, pass-through rates, offer acceptance) and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with HR and marketing teams on employer branding initiatives and recruitment campaigns with local and national entities building recruiting pipelines for early career, alumni, and veterans focused candidates.
  • Stay current on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and competitive intelligence within the aerospace and defense talent landscape.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable hiring regulations, including ITAR and EEOC guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, related area, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, preferably in aerospace, defense, robotics, or high-tech startups.
  • Strong track record of filling hard-to-source technical roles.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence hiring decisions and build trust.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of federal hiring regulations and security clearance basics is a plus.
  • Comfortable operating and collaborating across multiple time zones.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods throughout the workday.

  • Visual acuity required for reviewing resumes, sourcing candidates, and managing applicant data across digital tools.
  • Must be able to occasionally move within and between office environments, meeting rooms, and recruiting event spaces.
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 15 lbs (e.g., recruitment materials, laptops, or event setups).
  • Ability to travel approximately to 5 - 40% annually, including:
    • Air and ground travel to various company locations and recruiting events
    • Standing and walking for extended periods at career fairs, hiring events, and on-site interviews
    • Transporting recruiting materials and equipment as needed 
  • Ability to work a standard full-time schedule, with flexibility to accommodate multiple time zones as needed.
