Job Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is searching for an Advertising Representative to join our innovative team in La Vergne, TN. In this role, you will manage all publisher advertising functions relative to an assigned group of publisher clients.  You’ll be assigned annual advertising sales goals and will be tasked with ensuring that revenue goals set forth in the departmental budgets for ICG trade projects are achieved. As the Advertising Representative, you will build and maintain strong relationships and execute regular, ongoing contact with assigned publisher clients.  You will collaborate with the publisher sales team to formulate strategic marketing/advertising plans on a title-by-title and/or season-by-season basis. In addition, you’ll coordinate departmental reporting across all publisher advertising products.  Your goal will be to provide an excellent level of customer service by helping to fulfil publishers’ needs and requests within the ICG structure.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or directly related year for year experience
  • Two years of experience in Customer Service, Sales, or Marketing

  • Detail-oriented and timely

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximizes coop spending of assigned publishers utilizing the Publisher/Wholesaler Cooperative Marketing Agreement.
  • Contributes to the attainment of all departmental trade and consumer advertising budgetary goals.
  • Builds and maintains strong publisher client relationships by on-going phone, email and in-person communication, attending and participating in publisher meetings and business reviews and writing detailed marketing/advertising proposals that address publisher product promotion initiatives.
  • Manages co-op pools, ad spending/overspending, and/or promotional opportunities with publishers
  • Follows through with contracts and ensures fulfillment of all advertising placed
  • Participates and contributes to department functions, including management of assigned publications.
  • Maintains high degree of knowledge regarding all ICG advertising vehicles – both trade and consumer -- across our business units.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to all publisher clients.
  • Acts as a liaison between the publisher and various ICG departments.

Hiring Salary Range: $58,298 - $72,657. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to:  the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
