The Administrative Service Rep (Labor & Delivery) serves as a customer service ambassador to all Sibley customers (staff, MD, patients and families) through demonstration of excellent
customer service skills as outlined in Sibley's Circle of Excellence.
Supports the daily operations and activity flow of the patient care area by performing administrative functions and acting as a central source of information for staff, physicians, patients, families and other departments. Consistently demonstrates strong organizational, communication and time management skills that help to facilitate a smooth functioning of the unit.
Shift:
Limited/Rotating Shift (Flexibility required)
24 hours
Weekends Required
Education:
  • High School graduate or equivalent of education and experience.
  • Intermediate typing/computer skills
  • Current CPR Training

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
  • Excellence Everyday Manners.
  • Directs patient/family and physicians concerns to the appropriate person.
  • Answers department phones in a timely manner, using Sibley's Circle of Excellence behavior (identifying self, smile behind voice, etc.) and clearly relays messages.

Unit Operations:
  • Serves as the unit point-of-contact for staff, physicians, students, patients, and visitors.
  • Keeps all members of the healthcare team informed of any changes in patient schedules or unit activity.
  • Calls the appropriate emergency response teams such as Code Blue,
  • Willingly floats and accepts assignments related to patient care.
