Job description

This position is located in the Office of the Commissioner for Trademarks, Office of the Deputy Commissioner for Trademark Administration. This position provides supervision of assigned personnel and a wide variety of administrative management functions including administrative policies, procedures, and directives development; human resources management, position management, budget and finances; information technology; procurement and property management; and records management.Qualifications:You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. You must meet all eligibility and qualifications requirements by the closing date of the job announcement. OPM Qualifications Standards are available at Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.
Specialized Experienceis experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, you must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service: For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-12.
Specialized experience for this position includes:
  • Experience leading a team in a diverse, confidential, senior leader centric, high visibility executive-level organization, and;
  • Experience supporting cross-functional planning, directing, analyzing, and implementing a variety of operational, technical, and administrative processes, procedures, and programs, in support of federal agency activities, and;
  • Experience utilizing administrative systems (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, USA Performance, Concur, Government Purchase Card, Momentum, etc.) on a recurring basis to produce extremely high-quality work, and;
  • Experience planning and coordinating conferences and committee meetings for large-scale audiences both inside and outside of an organization.
Selective Placement Factor:
  • Must possess a FAC COR Level II certification.
