Bureau Veritas is looking for a Bilingual Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our environmental laboratory in Saint-Laurent, QC.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Provide administrative support;
  • Answer/screen and forward incoming phone calls;
  • Greeting visitors and clients;
  • Take charge of activities related to direct mail, opening a file as well as sorting and filing photocopies;
  • Take care of office supplies orders as well as management for the Quebec region, ensure budget control and monitoring;
  • May be called upon to coordinate, organize and plan meetings or events or dinners for different occasions;
  • Lift equipment, food or any other item needed for meetings or events;
  • Send checks received to the accounts payable department;
  • Assist the customer service team with invoicing, deposits, Interac payments and organizing events for customers;
  • Help the management team organize the presentations;
  • Send press releases;
  • Any other related tasks.

You are an ideal candidate if you:

  • Have a technical diploma in administration or equivalent experience/diploma;
  • Have 1 to 3 years of experience in secretarial and/or administrative support;
  • Know how to prioritize customer service while managing their priorities;
  • Know how to communicate easily and effectively in a professional manner;
  • Are Fluent in French and English both written and spoken (due to frequent exchanges with English-speaking collaborators, both internally and externally, knowledge of English will be considered an asset that facilitates communication.);
  • Are proficient in office software (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word);
  • Can comply with ethics; be dynamic, energetic, motivated, accommodating; have a positive attitude and good judgment.
  • Are able to work alone and in a team;
  • Have good record keeping skills and attention to detail.
