Job description

Adecco is assisting a major client in their search for a Maintenance Technician in East Granby, CT.  This is a contract opportunity, offering weekly pay and a chance to expand your experience.  If this role sounds like something you would be interested in, and you meet the qualifications listed below, apply now!

  • Shift/Hours: Monday – Friday (7:00am – 3:00pm)

Job Description:

In this role, you will perform routine and emergency maintenance on production equipment, helping ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoys solving technical challenges in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, including extrusion lines, payoffs, take-ups, ovens, ink jet printers, braiders, hoppers, and pumps.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues to minimize downtime.

  • Calibrate critical equipment and measuring devices to maintain accuracy.

  • Conduct facility safety checks and inspections.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and equipment records.

  • Coordinate with external service providers when needed.

  • Follow established maintenance procedures and recommend updates for improvement.

  • Partner with engineering on machine upgrades and new equipment installations.

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulations (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 70E).

  

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered:

  • High School Diploma/GED, Technical or Vocational degree preferred

  • Previous experience in plant or industrial maintenance

  • Experience repairing mechanical or electrical equipment

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals

  • Experience operating a forklift

  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed

Pay Details: $30.00 to $32.00 per hour
