At Camp Margaritaville Resort, we blend laid-back island vibes with exceptional hospitality to create unforgettable experiences for every guest. From family-friendly activities to signature Margaritaville celebrations, we deliver fun, escape, and adventure in every moment.


As our Activities Supervisor, you will plan coordinate, and oversee a variety of activities and events for a resort while supervising individual Activities Department Team Members.


This position may require flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Coordinate team member selection and development and ensure team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures
  • Plan, coordinate, attend, and supervise all activities such as picnics, sporting events, dances, and dinners
  • Maintain a balance sheet for each activity showing income, expenses, attendance, and vendors used Review, approve, and submit all invoices for payment in a timely manner and document all payments
  • Balance money collected throughout the day and reconcile the cash register, ensuring to follow the cash handling policies and procedures
  • Prepare bank deposits Market events within or outside the resort to ensure success Produce a calendar of events for the next calendar season while staying with expectations
  • Prepare monthly and annual budgets
  • Set up and clean up after events
  • Prepare food for small events and collaborate with a caterer for larger events
  • Maintain adequate office and activity supply inventories
  • Prepare weekly newsletter and distribute to resort guests
  • Organize fundraising activities to support the department
  • Ensure all equipment and supplies are kept in good condition
  • Answer the telephone courteously and handle routine questions regarding activities
  • Maintain petty cash fund, turning in petty cash requests
  • Prepare end-of-month and other reports as requested by Resort Manager

Job Qualifications:

  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
  • Flexibility to work events during non-business hours
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to negotiate prices/contracts on behalf of the resort

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
