Accounting software developers help create and support applications used for accounting purposes. In this role, you may ensure the software correctly manages each account and transaction, verify that the system can adequately handle any unusual entries that accountants need to make, and run reports to evaluate the current financial situation of your clients. Accounting software developers usually work in teams; because much of the data entered into the system concerns monetary transactions, the primary function of the software focuses on accurate calculations.
