We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented part time Payroll Processor to join our team. This position is responsible for accurately and timely processing payroll for multiple business clients while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working with deadlines, and able to handle confidential employee and financial information with professionalism.

Mon, Tues, Fri 10 AM -3 PM

Key Responsibilities
  • Process weekly, biweekly, semimonthly, and monthly payrolls for multiple clients.
  • Review employee hours, wages, deductions, reimbursements, bonuses, commissions, and other payroll information for accuracy.
  • Enter and maintain employee payroll information, including new hires, terminations, pay-rate changes, direct deposit information, and withholding elections.
  • Calculate and process payroll accurately and meet established payroll deadlines.
  • Assist clients with payroll questions and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process payroll tax payments and filings as required.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual payroll reporting, including Forms 941, W-2, W-3, and applicable state and local filings.
  • Process garnishments, child support orders, retirement contributions, insurance deductions, and other payroll deductions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records.
  • Monitor payroll deadlines and proactively communicate with clients when information is needed.
  • Assist with year-end payroll processing and W-2 preparation.
  • Stay current on payroll-related federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Work with accounting and bookkeeping staff to resolve payroll-related issues.
  • Perform additional payroll and administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Previous payroll, bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable working with numbers and basic accounting concepts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other office software.
  • Experience with payroll processing software is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new software and procedures quickly.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
  • High level of discretion when handling confidential employee and financial information.
