We are seeking an Accounting & Appeals Coordinator to join our growing legal support and finance operations team. This position is ideal for recent college graduates or early-career professionals with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field who are looking to develop their skills within a professional services environment.

The selected candidate will work closely with Attorneys, Paralegals, Clients, and Accounting personnel to support billing operations, appeals coordination, financial tracking, and client compliance processes. This role offers hands-on exposure to accounting procedures, reporting, billing systems, and workflow management within a collaborative team setting.

We are seeking individuals who are analytical, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with deadlines, financial data, and technology-driven processes.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Ability to exhibit and maintain the following:

  • Coordinate and manage high-volume billing and appeals-related assignments in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Review, track, and follow up on client billing submissions, appeals, and payment-related statuses.
  • Assist with financial reporting, spreadsheet tracking, reconciliation support, and administrative accounting functions.
  • Communicate professionally with Attorneys, Paralegals, Accounting staff, Administrators, and Clients regarding billing and financial matters.
  • Collaborate with Accounting teams across multiple Florida offices to ensure timely and accurate workflow completion.
  • Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and internal procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency through technology and process enhancements.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and web-based systems extensively for tracking, reporting, and research functions.
  • Adapt to evolving client requirements and learn new systems and procedures quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Internship, office, billing, bookkeeping, or administrative experience is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills required.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
  • Experience with legal billing platforms, Aderant Expert, or BillBlast is a plus, but not required.
