As an Accounting Manager, you will ensure that corporate financial policies and procedures are implemented locally in compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations. You will play a key role in financial statement audits and month-end closing, helping maintain accurate records while continuously improving processes. You will also provide timely, value-added financial insights to support strategic decision-making in your region and contribute to strengthening your team's knowledge.

What does your typical day look like?

  • Lead the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and ensure timely, accurate reporting
  • Support regional leadership with financial insights, budgets, and forecasts for strategic decision-making
  • Oversee transactional finance activities (including payroll), ensuring efficiency and accuracy
  • Improve and maintain financial systems, policies, and processes across the region
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and accuracy of accounting records
  • Partner with site leaders to solve business issues, mitigate risks, and guide accounting treatments
  • Contribute to budgeting cycles, forecasts, and quarterly business reviews with corporate finance
  • Support team performance, compliance, audits, and internal controls across the region

What skills and experience are we looking for?                 

  • Certified Professional Accountant designation.
  • 5 or more years of accounting experience, including month-end closing and/or certification.
  • 2 or more years of leadership experience.
  • Bilingual (French & English).
  • Healthcare or Insurance industry experience considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Workday is considered an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with other departments, while challenging the status quo.
  • Excellent accounting skills.
  • Demonstrated foundation of ethical decision making, while operating with a high degree of integrity.
  • Ability to manage change and rapid growth.
  • Ability to strategize and engage in long-term planning.
  • Able to work in office from our Sherbrooke office (Minimum 3 days per week)
