We’re partnering with a family-owned business seeking a Direct Hire, Accounting Assistant to support account and invoice management, posting checks, organizing pay stubs, and researching open balances at their Holly Springs, NC location. This is an in-person role ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, teamwork, and learning new systems while contributing to high-quality deliverables.

What you’ll do as an Accounting Assistant

  • Posting the payables, reconciling vendor invoices with the BOL
  • Make appropriate adjustments to invoices, after purchasing has communicated any change requests
  • Maintain files and monitor the status of paid check stubs
  • Communicate and research open balances on the vendor statements at the beginning of each month
  • Post checks received to customer accounts
  • Post EFT notices to appropriate accounts
  • Review and communicate any payment shortages to the correct Account Associate
  • Oversee payments and review payment stub status

  • Minimum of Associates Degree in Accounting or Financial Studies
  • 2+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software systems quickly

Schedule & work environment

  • Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Friday: Flexible schedule, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
