REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager


PURPOSE: TWG currently has 5+ 3rd Party Property Managers for its 80+ properties. The role of the asset manager is to work with these managers to ensure external and internal reporting needs are met, cash flow is managed, and accounting records are accurate.


DUTIES

  • Facilitate all communication between TWG and property managers for a portfolio of properties
  • Assist with review of monthly financial statements
  • Assist with the facilitation of annual audits and tax returns
  • Assist with the review and approval of budgets
  • Assist in process design and implementation for an evolving department with an emphasis on efficiency
  • Assist with the submission of all external reporting (Investors, lenders, etc.)
  • Assist with summarization of financial statements for internal parties
  • Aid in TWG projections of operating deficit fundings
  • Maintain necessary records of financial transactions
  • Maintain accurate cash flow projections
  • Maintenance, initiation, and termination of cash accounts
  • Submit monthly and quarterly replacement reserve reimbursements to investors and lenders
  • Complete semi-annual surplus cash calculations and communicate with TWG senior managers regarding incoming cash flow expectations
  • Record reimbursements to and advances from TWG Development
  • Maintain real estate tax schedules
  • Coordinate and oversee tax appeals with third parties
  • Maintain insurance premium schedules and review the policies annually
  • Correspond with investors, vendors and 3rd party management personnel in a timely and pleasant manner
  • Contribute to an overall positive work environment
Requirements:
  • Two or more years of development or real estate accounting experience preferred
  • Understanding of development or real estate accounting and general ledger entries
