Role Overview:
The Key Account Manager Seed Treatment is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of seed treatment customers while supporting profitable revenue growth and long-term partnerships. This role serves as an individual contributor who operates with moderate autonomy, providing account management support, commercial execution, and technical coordination related to seed treatment products and services. The Key Account Manager works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Product teams to execute seed treatment strategies that align customer needs with Wilbur-Ellis solutions. This role focuses on expanding seed treatment sales, strengthening customer relationships, supporting product stewardship, and ensuring consistent delivery and acceptable return on investment for both the customer and the company.
A Sample of What You'll Do in This Role:
  • Manage and grow relationships with seed treatment customers, serving as a primary point of contact and trusted partner within assigned accounts.
  • Develop and execute account plans that drive seed treatment sales growth, profitability, and long-term customer loyalty.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts to increase seed treatment product and service adoption.
  • Collaborate with Sales Representatives, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless product availability, forecasting, logistics, and delivery execution.
  • Support pricing strategies, sales forecasting, and business planning activities related to seed treatment programs and customer accounts.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of seed treatment technologies, product offerings, application processes, stewardship requirements, and industry trends.
  • Analyze customer performance, market conditions, and product usage data to identify growth opportunities and make business recommendations.
  • Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and business reviews to communicate value, discuss performance, and strengthen partnerships.
  • Work closely with supplier partners and internal stakeholders to support promotional programs, marketing initiatives, and customer engagement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies related to credit, pricing, contracts, product stewardship, and risk management.
  • Represent the voice of the customer internally by sharing market intelligence and customer insights that help drive product, service, and process improvements.

What You Bring to This Role:
  • 3+ years of sales, account management, seed, crop protection, or agricultural commercial experience
  • 1-2 years of seed treatment experience, calling on seed care customers and having B2B conversations
  • Demonstrated success supporting revenue growth and managing customer relationships within the agricultural industry
  • Knowledge of seed treatment products, seed technologies, crop production practices, or related agricultural inputs preferred
  • Foundational business acumen with experience supporting pricing, forecasting, margin management, and sales planning activities
  • Ability to analyze sales and market data and translate insights into actionable customer strategies
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally to deliver customer-focused solutions and achieve business objectives
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, sales performance tools, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to travel as required to support customer relationships, field activities, and industry events

Compensation and Benefits:
  • In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $104,900 - $146,920. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
  • This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
