Job Description:
Overview:
Our Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB) Agency Services MDOT team is seeking to hire a Web Accessibility Analyst to conduct reviews for adherence with our Digital Standards for Websites and Applications, which include standards for branding and digital accessibility. The contract has potential to extend beyond 2 years based upon our needs.
Job Duties:
  • Conduct reviews of our websites and applications and documents for adherence with our Digital Standards for Websites and Applications
  • Test for digital accessibility using manual and automated tools including screen reader and other assistive technology
  • Review for adherence with additional standards including branding
  • Perform testing on desktop and mobile devices
  • Thoroughly document review results
  • Provide results to application support teams and stakeholders and meet with teams to explain results
  • Work closely with eMichigan team members to ensure processes are followed and optimized
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Education:
  • Some college
Required Skills:
  • 1+ years of testing applications for digital accessibility
  • 1 year working with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
  • Advanced knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA
  • Advanced skills using assistive technologies like JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack
Preferred Skills:
  • 3+ years of testing applications for digital accessibility
  • Certification related to WCAG
  • Previous government experience
