Job description

Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mainframe and AS400 Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise applications running on mainframe and IBM AS400/iSeries platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CL, RPG, and related legacy technologies, along with the ability to troubleshoot production issues and support business-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain applications on mainframe and AS400 (preferred) environments.
  • Write and support programs using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CL, RPG, and related tools.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Perform debugging, testing, and production support for existing systems.
  • Work with batch jobs, file processing, and data integration processes.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and infrastructure teams.
  • Support system upgrades, performance tuning, and incident resolution.
  • Document technical designs, code changes, and support procedures.

Required Skills:
  • Strong hands-on experience with mainframe technologies.
  • Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
  • Knowledge of batch processing, job scheduling, and file transfer processes.
