Are you an RPG developer who enjoys modernizing legacy applications with today's AI-powered development tools?
We're looking for an experienced AS/400 RPG Developer to enhance and support a mission-critical enterprise application. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong IBM i (AS/400) development experience who is excited to leverage modern tools like GitHub and GitHub Codex/CoPilot to improve and evolve existing applications.
What You'll Do Develop, maintain, and enhance RPG IV / ILE RPG applications on the IBM i (AS/400) platform Refactor existing code to improve performance, maintainability, and functionality Use GitHub and GitHub Codex/CoPilot to analyze, enhance, and modernize existing code Troubleshoot production issues and deliver high-quality enhancements Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and maintain technical documentation What We're Looking For 7+ years of RPG IV / ILE RPG development on the IBM i (AS/400) platform Experience using GitHub for source control and GitHub Codex/CoPilot(or similar AI-assisted development tools) Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills Experience refactoring and modernizing legacy applications Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with business and technical teams Bonus Skills Manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, or warehouse systems experience SQL programming within RPG applications Experience with TURNOVER or similar IBM i change management tools Interested?
