Job description

Manufacturing company in Buffalo, NY is looking for a production supervisor to oversee their 2nd shift.


Hours - 2nd shift - 2pm-11pm Mon-Fri

Salary varies based on experience - $85-100k

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have 3+ years of proven experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing role
  • Knowledge of plastic manufacturing preferred
  • Technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment such as presses, molding, etc. required
  • Must be able to prioritize safety and drive production and lead by example
  • Communication and leadership skills
  • Troubleshooting, quality control and process control


JOB DUTIES:

  • Oversee all day-to-day aspects of production on shift from personnel, production numbers, safety and quality
  • Delegate to assistant supervisors, quality technicians and operators as needed
  • Maintain and track metrics and KPIs for the production floor to maintain efficiency
  • Handle safety, quality and disciplinary issues
  • Maintain material levels for all production areas and keep projects on track for timelines
  • Help schedule any equipment repairs and preventative maintenance as needed
  • Lead and hold all individuals accountable for their work on a regular basis
