Job description

This vacancy is for a GS-0343-13, Management and Program Analyst located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, WATERWAYS POLICIES and ACTIVITIES DIVISION -CG-WWM-1 in WASHINGTON, District of Columbia.

Qualifications:

To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal or private sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis.

  • Developing plans, goals, objectives and milestones for evaluating the effectiveness of programs.
  • Implementing studies for program effectiveness.
  • Executing complex analysis and evaluations utilizing information from enterprise legacy systems and varied data formats. Reviewing and synthesizing regulatory frameworks to maintain program compliance with evolving maritime policy.
  • Advising management and key stakeholders on program status and policy initiatives. Drafting and presenting actionable briefings and reports to facilitate executive-level decision-making.
  • Applying comprehensive technical concepts of the Maritime Transportation System (MTS), including maritime commercial trade, port infrastructure, and international ocean-going regulatory requirements.
