In this position, you work after hours to clean the building when no employees or guests are present. Your responsibilities include removing the trash, vacuuming or washing floors, cleaning surfaces, wiping windows, and replenishing office supplies. You also clean restrooms and ensure that lighting fixtures work correctly. Part-time cleaners typically work for several hours after the building closes or after employees and visitors leave for the day. You may instead only work a few days a week. Some employers hire workers to perform more extensive cleaning on weekends.

The qualifications that you need to become a part-time night cleaner include previous janitorial experience and the ability to work after regular office hours.
