What Does a Natural Developer Do?

As a natural developer, your duties are to design and develop software or add-ons that are used for ADABAS database packages, which run on IBM, Linux, UNIX, and Windows mainframes. Your responsibilities include developing the technical specifications for new programs or tools used to search or organize databases. Your programs are designed to help users search through data using the natural language. You may also help build new databases and other ways of storing or ordering information.

How to Become a Natural Developer

To become a natural developer, you must have a bachelor’s degree and experience with ADABAS natural and other technical tools and programming languages used for database architecture. Common subjects for you to study in college include computer science, information systems, and information management. In addition to these qualifications, you should have a working knowledge of other languages, such as COBOL, C++, SQL, and other database application software. Important skills for the job include project management and good written and verbal communication.
