Job Description Summary:
The UKG Consultant serves as a functional subject matter expert for UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM), EZ Call, and related modules. This role focuses on business partnership, functional discovery, optimization strategy, training, and adoption, ensuring UKG solutions align with organizational needs and drive improvements in scheduling, timekeeping, labor management, and compliance. The UKG Consultant partners closely with HR, IT, Payroll, and operational leaders but does not perform core system configuration.
Responsibilities And Duties:
Functional Consulting & Discovery
Lead functional discovery sessions with operational leaders to understand workforce, scheduling, and labor management needs.
Translate business requirements into solution designs and functional recommendations for UKG capabilities.
Advise leaders on UKG best practices, system capabilities, and process standardization opportunities.
Optimization & Workforce Strategy
Analyze workforce processes and labor trends to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and efficiency.
Partner with Workforce Management leadership to support initiatives related to overtime reduction, staffing efficiency, and scheduling effectiveness.
Recommend system-enabled solutions to replace manual workarounds and inconsistent practices.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership
Serve as a trusted advisor and liaison between HR, Payroll, IT, and operational leaders.
Partners with vendor teams (UKG and third parties) to support enhancements, issue resolution, and roadmap planning.
Support cross-functional alignment and adoption of standardized workforce practices.
Training, Adoption & Change Support
Develop and deliver training, education, and communication to support UKG adoption.
Create and maintain job aids and reference materials for managers and associates.
Guide clients through testing (UAT), deployment, and go-live, ensuring quality and seamless integration.
Deliver training to end-users and administrators and transition clients to ongoing support.
Support go-live readiness, stabilization, and post-implementation adoption efforts.
Support all new users with functional adoption (M&A, New Units, etc.).
Governance & Compliance Support
Support adherence to organizational policies, labor standards, and workforce governance guardrails.
Partner with Senior Consultants and leadership to ensure solutions align with compliance requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (Required)
Additional Job Description:
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
Healthcare workforce management experience.
Experience supporting system optimization, adoption, or change management initiatives.
Familiarity with reporting tools such as UKG Analytics and Business Intelligence.
Strong presentation and training facilitation skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, IT, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting UKG Pro WFM or similar workforce management systems.
  • Strong understanding of workforce operations, scheduling models, and labor compliance.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to influence without authority and operate effectively in a matrixed environment.
