Job Title: Packaging Machine Operator

Schedule: Days (12 hour shift, 5:45am – 6:00pm) 2-2-3 schedule
Salary: $18.50 per hour; Temp to Hire
Job SummaryKelly Services is seeking a reliable and motivated Packaging Machine Operator for our facility in Mount Vernon, Ohio. This position is ideal for someone with manufacturing experience who is dedicated to maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency while working primarily in the production area.
Key Responsibilities
  • Spot outbound trucks into material load docks, ensuring dock-locks are properly utilized
  • Reclaim off-quality Unbonded Loosefill and refeed material to the forehearth
  • Place bags on bagger equipment snouts to ensure proper packaging of finished goods
  • Perform general cleanup duties in designated areas (e.g., sweeping floors, blowing down lines/robots, cleaning break rooms)
  • Assist with Preventative Maintenance processes
  • Perform special tasks as determined by plant staff
  • Participate in safety and housekeeping programs established by the plant

Qualifications & Skills
  • 1–3 years of manufacturing experience (preferred)
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong internal and external customer service skills
  • Intermediate mathematical skills
  • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
