Summary of Position

JobsOhio seeks an experienced account manager with a natural flair for building and maintaining client relationships in a consultative environment and meeting critical deadlines. The Account Manager serves as the strategic talent advisor for JobsOhio’s high-growth business clients across targeted industries and occupations. This role leads the design, implementation, and management of customized talent acquisition and workforce solutions that help companies successfully attract, develop, and retain talent in Ohio. The position manages client relationships, vendor partnerships, full project execution, and workforce strategy, while ensuring successful outcomes for both clients and JobsOhio.

The JobsOhio Talent Acquisition Services team is responsible for partnering with selected *Project Clients. Talent Acquisition Services offer a comprehensive range of talent solutions including recruitment marketing, attracting talent, sourcing, screening, and customized training programs tailored for each client. Our team works cooperatively across functional areas within the organization, workforce partners, subcontracted talent resources, and our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a member of the team, the Account Manager, Client Talent Delivery, is responsible to actively build, manage and maintain client relationships specific to talent acquisition services from strategy design, to ensuring execution of the pre-developed talent plan in coordination with the client, JobsOhio project delivery team, and key internal and external stakeholders.  

Teammate

  • Active engagement as team member (Project, Sector and Talent teams) related to talent resource partners, client advising, project vetting and structuring services all the way through delivering the customized talent services  
  • Foster a collaborative and cooperative atmosphere - act as the main contact between internal cross-functional teams, external vendor subcontractors, community partners, and clients. Ensure services are delivered on time and with success.
  • Lead onboarding for new team members (internal and network partners)
  • Manage regional talent and project partner relationships
  • Participate in Talent Acquisition Services discussions related to overall strategy, continuous improvement, procedures, policies, and delivery methods
  • Internal program management associated with individual Talent Programs
  • Customized Talent Services –Key participant in building each Client’s customized Talent Acquisition Services plan, including project budgeting and scoping
  • Vet client’s outstanding needs, market, competition, processes etc. related to Talent Acquisition and collaborate with team to develop tailored approach
  • Lead facilitating Client Plan Presentation meeting where client needs are validated, and collaborate with the team to build the tailored Client Talent Acquisition Plan
  • Responsible to coordinate client’s project timeline with Talent Acquisition Services timeline at high project level as well as for each deliverable, ensuring entire plan fits within reasonable timeframe
  • Lead facilitator in Client Close Out meeting
  • Pitch Talent Program to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge and understanding of Ohio’s workforce system and educational landscape
  • Build and deliver presentations using PowerPoint and other business tools
  • Responsible and accountable for the overall achievement of selected Talent Services Programs
  • Navigate ambiguity, quick change of direction and develop possible solutions
  • Engage in continuous professional development and findings to stay abreast of the latest talent acquisition trends

Contract Management

  • Build and write agreements defining the solutions provided to a client by JobsOhio through subcontractors in alignment with the Talent Acquisition Service Plan
  • Write statements of work related to contracted vendors supporting each talent project
  • Manage vendor negotiations on both services and budget
  • Build and manage the budget of each overall contract tied to a specific talent program
  • Coordinate the contract lifecycle, from initial draft to execution, to monitoring end and renewal dates

Client Management

  • Serve as strategic consultant to portfolio of clients regarding talent acquisition (recruiting, marketing, screening, assessing, training)
  • Set and manage expectations with the client; manage timelines and objectives assuring successful results for each project
  • Lead frequent communication with assigned clients working closely with subcontractors and talent team
  • Ensure talent team and subcontractors are coordinated and have clarity on service delivery
  • Effectively coordinate with client during the service delivery, detect problems, and consider possible resolutions; managing any Amendment required to services
  • Handle complex problems and communicate issues internally to collaborators for accurate escalation
  • Act as the main contact for the client’s talent team and intermediary for JobsOhio and subcontractors
  • Lead recurring status calls with clients to ensure accurate delivery
  • Lead vendor meetings with internal teams and clients, virtually and onsite
  • Facilitate meetings with c-suite executives, external collaborators, and various entities regarding client and project work
  • Pitch and present JobsOhio and Ohio’s value proposition to internal and external stakeholders, as it applies to talent and workforce

Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years of business experience preferred
  • Knowledge related to current employment practices, talent attraction and retention, training, and workforce development programs
  • Exhibits a history of maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Able to travel (state-wide and some out-of-state, possibility of overnights) for project work, client meetings, and related activities
  • 3+ years of Account Management, Project Management, Program Management with an emphasis on Talent Acquisition, Human Resources or Workforce Development
  • Ability to effectively draft and complete multiple client agreements and statements of work on a weekly basis
  • Proven track record of establishing positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to engage in client sales, strategy, and delivery presentations with outstanding business insight

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, human resources, or a related field is preferred
