Job description

PMO Specialist - Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented PMO Specialist to join our large program team. This role will be instrumental in driving continuous process improvement initiatives and managing our Power BI analytics workspace to support program delivery and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Process Improvement

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for processes that impact program management functions
  • Analyze current workflows and identify opportunities for optimization
  • Develop and implement process improvement strategies and best practices
  • Create and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and workflow diagrams
  • Facilitate process improvement workshops and stakeholder sessions
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of implemented improvements

Power BI Management

  • Develop and manage endtoend Power BI solutions, including data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and visualization
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security within the Power BI environment
  • Provide training and support to team members on Power BI usage
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements
  • Optimize data models and visualization for performance and usability
  • Automate recurring reports and reduce manual data preparation
  • Strong Excel skills in conjunction with power BI.

Program Support

  • Support PMO operations and governance activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure process alignment
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in PMO or project management roles
  • Proven experience with Power BI development and administration
  • Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMI, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with large-scale program environments
  • Knowledge of additional BI tools and data visualization platforms
