Job description

Top Consulting is seeking an experienced ERP Project Manager to lead the planning, implementation, integration, enhancement, and optimization of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems within retail and/or manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business processes, ERP platforms, and cross-functional project delivery, with the ability to bridge business requirements and technical solutions.

This role will work closely with business leaders, IT teams, functional stakeholders, vendors, and implementation partners to ensure ERP initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end ERP projects, including planning, requirements gathering, implementation, integration, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, requirements, and success criteria.
  • Manage cross-functional teams spanning IT, finance, supply chain, operations, merchandising, inventory, manufacturing, sales, and other business functions.
  • Coordinate ERP implementations, upgrades, migrations, integrations, and system enhancements.
  • Work with business teams to document current-state and future-state processes and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Translate business needs into actionable project requirements and coordinate with technical and functional teams to develop solutions.
  • Manage third-party ERP vendors, consultants, implementation partners, and system integrators.
  • Oversee data migration, system integration, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and deployment activities.
  • Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues, constraints, and dependencies.
  • Establish project governance, status reporting, steering committee communications, and executive-level presentations.
  • Facilitate project meetings and ensure clear communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Manage change requests and ensure appropriate evaluation of impacts to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Support organizational change management and user adoption throughout ERP implementations.
  • Ensure project documentation, decisions, action items, and lessons learned are maintained.
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing IT or ERP projects, preferably within retail, manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments.
  • Experience with ERP integrations, APIs, middleware, and data migration.
  • Experience with cloud ERP implementations and modernization initiatives.
  • Experience leading ERP implementations across multiple business locations or business units.
  • Experience working with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing project budgets, timelines, risks, vendors, and resources.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Infor, Epicor, NetSuite, Plex, or similar systems.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or other project management certification preferred.
