As one of the nations largest single-source providers of construction contract labor, Commercial Trade Source (CTS) is currently expanding our staff by accepting applications for an in-house recruiter in our Fort Lauderdale, FL branch.

Due to its dedicated staff and strong field team, CTS has built a strong reputation and an extensive network of contractor relationships that keep our field team employed all year long.

Responsibility:

Responsibilities of the recruiter include, but not limited to

  • Talent Sourcing: Utilize various methods such as job boards, social media, networking, and referrals to identify potential candidates. Build talent networks to source qualified active and passive candidates while maintaining an active pipeline.
  • Candidate Screening: Review resumes, conduct initial phone screens, and assess candidates' qualifications and fit for open positions.
  • Interviewing: Coordinate and conduct interviews with candidates, both in-person and virtually, to evaluate their skills, experience, and hiring potential.
  • Candidate Engagement: Build positive relationships with tradespeople throughout the hiring process, providing information and feedback.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the business development team to understand job requirements and specifications, ensuring alignment between recruitment efforts and partner contractor requirements.
  • Offer Negotiation: Extend job offers and assist in negotiating compensation to secure the best qualified talent.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our applicant tracking system and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Operational Excellence: Consistently achieve weekly metric goals of candidate engagements, phone calls, interviews, and hires.
  • Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

We are looking for those team members that possess the following traits:

  • Minimum of 2 or more years of experience in a high-volume recruiting and staffing environments.
  • Preferred experience in the construction industry or similar industry.
  • Initiative-taking and demonstrates ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Ability to work from the branch location. 
  • Demonstrates customer-service orientation, able to provide positive candidate experience and go above and beyond.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills, resourceful and results driven.
  • Able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong analysis and decision-making skills.
  • Bi-lingual is strongly preferred (Spanish).
