Our expertise is in space and airborne IR, VIS, UV, and RF sensors, small satellite technologies, test and calibration, cybersecurity, data visualization and assurance, and ground stations. SDL is seeking a Software Cloud Infrastructure Engineer that has demonstrated experience in developing cloud-hosted software and managing DevSecOps pipelines. Candidates should also possess familiarity in one or more of the following areas: software design, real-time processing, APIs, graphics, data visualization, and database design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with multiple engineering disciplines to support development of cloud-hosted mission software in the agile methodology
• Work to modernize the architecture of existing software applications, specifically towards a more modular framework / containerized microservices
• Support the design, implementation, and management of DevSecOps pipeline tooling
• Engagement with geographically dispersed customers and stakeholders to understand system needs and inform programmatic decisions
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information

Required Qualifications:

• 10 or more years with bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of experience with containers/Kubernetes
• Experience with both cloud and on-premises development
• Experience with DevSecOps pipeline tooling including build, test, deploy, CI/CD
• Experience utilizing software design patterns and software control management
• Working knowledge of C#
• Ability to serve as a technical adviser to program managers, customers, and stakeholders on software applications and solutions
• Must be able to work effectively both independently and with a technical team to align varying stakeholder needs with software development
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• US citizenship required along with the ability to obtain and hold a U.S. Government security clearance
• Some travel may be required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiar with government DevSecOps best practices
• Experience working with Cyber Security processes
• Windows & Linux systems administration
• Experience with Agile and Lean software development methodologies
• Familiarity with the Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) process
• Background with space-based sensing systems, mission planning software, and/or exploitation capabilities
