Maintenance Mechanic
Job Purpose & Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing diversified duties to include but not limited, install, troubleshoot, repair, and preventive maintenance on all production & facility equipment according to safety, predictive systems & processes to support the day-to-day operations of Valley Plating Works (VPW).
Essential Duties, Functions, & Responsibilities:
· Provide quality repair, diagnose problems; administer preventative maintenance on machines, equipment & facilities.
· Read & fill work orders, perform required maintenance and service.
· Follow and update scheduled maintenance logs & compliance checklists.
· Mechanical skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, & welding.
· Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment and entire facility and grounds.
· Comply with Safety and Health regulations, OSHA, Sanitation Departments.
· Keep Manager well informed regarding activities, pending issues and potential problems.
Minimum Mandatory Qualifications:
· 3+ years of general maintenance/facilities experience.
· Familiar and able to use hand & power tools in performing duties, skills & functions listed above.
· Able to read, write, and have working knowledge of email and texting.
· Good organizational skills and ability to identify priorities.
· Use appropriate Preventive Protective Equipment while performing certain tasks (glasses, gloves, etc.).
· Must clear background check, pass E-Verify, and be available to work overtime hours as needed.
· Required to use considerable judgment when performing and planning to perform tasks.
· Responsible and able to comply with all applicable federal, state, or municipal laws or compliances.
· A self- starter who can work independently and as a team member, who consistently demonstrates professionalism, courtesy, efficiency, excellent internal and external customer service, high ethical standards and behavior that contributes to harmonious relationships.
· Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing.
· Willingness to learn new skills and participate in training sessions relevant to the position.
· Availability and willingness to travel to other locations as needed.
Education:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
License/Certifications
· Desired but not required; able to attend seminars and trainings applicable to position

· Communicate verbally, work independently problem solve and interact with and vendors
