Registered Nurse ICU

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As an RN at NCG Associates, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a challenging and rewarding environment.

• Assess, monitor, and evaluate critically ill patients' condition
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians
• Manage and assist with invasive procedures and mechanical ventilation
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, EKG readings, and laboratory results
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families
• Document patient information accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in critical care nursing practices and participate in continuing education
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

Requirements

• Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• 2 years experience in Critical Care/Intensive Care Unit minimum, Open Heart Trained- preferred, Must have a minimum of 1 year travel exp
• Strong knowledge of critical care nursing principles and practices
• Ability to assess and interpret vital signs, EKG readings, and laboratory results
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other relevant healthcare software

Bill Rate: $1,980@36hrs Weekly

Desired Start Date: ASAP

Length of Assignment: 14 Weeks

Hours per Week: 36 Hrs

Shift and Time: 12hr Nights: 1845-0715

Weekend Rotation: Every Other Weekend

On-call Requirements: None

Holidays Requirements: Required based on unit needs

Floating Requirements: Will float to all inpatient units- Med/surg, Med/tele, Acute/tele, Progressive Care and ED with prior experience

Experience Required: 2 years experience in Critical Care/Intensive Care Unit minimum, Open Heart Trained- preferred, Must have a minimum of 1 year travel exp.

License Required: KS RN or Compact RN License

Certificates Required: BLS, ACLS, & NIH

Housing Assistant: Provided
